Artist Zaur (Zavro) Bebrishvili

Zavro Bebrishvili belongs to the universal type of artists, which has been existed since the ancient times. Different materials, techniques and genres are constantly used by the artist in his сгeative work. Bebrishvili is а born artist. Тhе talent of an artist let him, the village bоу from the Alasan valley, finish the TbilissyTs Academy of Arts with honor, participate in Georgian and all-Russian youth exhibitions and later, having moved in Nizhni Novgorod (Gorky), learn and successfully work with metal, in monumental and decorative art, in jewelry.

His creations exhibited successfully at the special jewelry exhibitions in Moscow (in the exhibition hall of the Moscow Kremlin as well), Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, Kirov, Lvov, Izhevsk, Tumen, Вгatislava, Berlin, Yablonetz and other towns. The artist is the constant participant of the leading art exhibitions not only in Russian Federation, but abroad as well. In his creations, the artist tries to concentrate at all means of expression, his painting is the example of the fusion of the national art of Georgia with its leastern ornament and bright colors and calm, wise language of the Russian national school. Noble, reserve, beautiful, consistent painting of the artist correspond to the inner contents of his creations.  

  Bebrishvili is the expert of the ancient jewelry techniques. This fact helped him to work out his special style of the modern jewelry with the bright originality and Georgian color. The problem of the national inheritance in the modern art is very difficult and complicated. Bebrishvili came to the monumental and decorative solutions in the modern architecture. Не created unique wall panels, chimneys, lamps, accessories. Ring network, forged metal, filigree work, punctured copper, wood carving, everything turned out to be easily used by the wise and delicate hands of the talented artist and let him express the fusion of the Georgian and Russian art.

The works of the artist Zavro Bebrishvili are marked by the inexhaustible variety of composition, the creative power, fantasy, emotionality, poetic thoughts. All above mentioned, expressed in paintings, drawings, compositions, bear the stamp of the artistic individuality, originality and artistic maturity of the author.

Education:

1953-1958 He studied at the Art School im.Ya.Nikoladze, Tbilisi. Teachers: J.Khundadze, V. Sherpilov.

1958-1964 He studied at the Academy of Arts at the Faculty of Painting, Tbilisi.Teachers: Kobuladze K. Sanadze, K. Makharadze.

 1973 Became a member of USSR Artists Union.

 1966-1992 years.  He worked in the department of the Gorky Art Fund of the Russia.
